Mark is president & CEO of MAB – Medical Agri Business LLC, a Boston-based consulting firm providing animal and veterinary expertise in areas including agribusiness sales and services, management of animal production/husbandry and professional health services.
Mark has served as executive director of AMIVEQ 1989-96, a state equine practitioners’ association. He has been a member of the ABRAVEQ, AAEP, and AVMA organizing committees for professional development and continuing education conferences. He is also an active member of his community providing leadership and hands-on involvement with numerous museums, schools, local government groups and non-profit organizations.
An advocate for the publication of reliable international trade data, Mark has authored materials published in the World Veterinary Association and U.S. Commercial Service among others.
Mark holds a Bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University in Animal Science and a Doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from the Federal University of Minas Gerais. He also holds a Master’s in Educational Leadership from Framingham State University where he is currently on the faculty for International Education. He has also completed executive education programs at Staples (corporate) and MetroWest Leadership Academy. He is certified by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security FEMA training, State of Massachusetts Animal Response Team (SMART).
Mark was born and raised, and currently lives in the U.S. where he learned American English. Mark is also fluent in Portuguese having lived in Brazil for 15 years.
