Arnaldo Carrera is the Managing Partner of Strategic Business Alliance (SBA), a strategic advisory firm specializing in helping organizations in the technology, manufacturing, agribusiness, and healthcare sectors expand their operations throughout the United States and Latin America.
With more than three decades of international experience across the financial, banking, technology, media, and operations sectors, Arnaldo has held executive leadership positions at prominent institutions, including Safra National Bank, Chase Manhattan Bank, Deutsche Bank, and the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce (CIBC). Throughout his career, he has also served as an entrepreneur and startup mentor, helping emerging companies structure their businesses and secure growth capital.
Arnaldo holds bachelor’s degrees in Economics and Physics from Rutgers University and a Master of Science in Management Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT). He further enhanced his executive expertise through advanced programs at NYU’s Stern School of Business and IBM’s Advanced Business Institute.
His professional and civic leadership includes service as a trustee of ITDU, the ACLU of New Jersey, and as Director and Corporate Secretary of the Brazil Florida Business Council (BFBC). He also served in public office as a Councilman and Deputy Mayor in New Jersey.
Born in São Paulo, Brazil, Arnaldo has lived in the United States for more than 50 years. Fluent in Portuguese and conversant in Spanish, he became the first Brazilian-American elected to public office in the United States and has represented the State of New Jersey in numerous international trade missions and business delegations.
