With a strategic, hands-on approach, Gerry helps businesses identify investment opportunities, navigate critical business challenges, and assemble high-performing teams to drive sustained profitability, productivity, and scalable growth.
His recent business activities focus on environmental sustainability, regenerative agriculture, bio-based alternatives to traditional plastics, and ag-tech solutions. His interest in IoT and AI-powered innovations has led him to work in Industry 5.0 and digital accessibility solutions for people with disabilities. Gerry is also an active mentor, supporting both executive peers and young professionals within his network.
Gerry began his career in sales at IBM before transitioning to the financial markets, where he held senior management roles at EF Hutton, Prudential Bache, Brom & Co, MeesPierson Capital Management/Fortis Investment, ING/Furman Selz, Brown Brothers Harriman, Fulcrum, and CRT Capital. His expertise spans building and optimizing global asset management trading teams, advising on operational challenges, and enhancing financial performance.
Born and raised in The Netherlands, Gerry relocated permanently to New York in 1998. He holds a BBA from Nijenrode University (1978) and is fluent in English, Dutch, and German, with conversational proficiency in French.
